Kazakhstani Client Conducts Acceptance Testing of HFD-50 Commercial Freeze Dryer at Geliss Factory

On the 12th of this month, we welcomed a client from Kazakhstan—who had purchased our HFD-50 large-scale commercial freeze dryer—upon his arrival at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. We subsequently conducted a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the HFD-50 at our facility, allowing the client to personally verify the machine's performance and production capabilities—a testament to our confidence in our product quality. As a renowned Chinese freeze dryer manufacturer, Geliss encourages clients to participate in equipment inspection and performance testing prior to shipment, ensuring they feel fully confident in their investment.
Client Background
Mr. Seryozha represents a food processing company based in Almaty that specializes in berries and tropical fruits (such as bananas). Given the rapid global growth of the freeze-dried food sector and the fact that berries have a short shelf life, the company's management decided to explore freeze-drying their products for sale. This strategy not only addresses the storage challenges associated with fresh fruit but also enhances the product's value and profit margins. After evaluating multiple freeze dryer suppliers, they selected Geliss as their partner. The equipment purchased—the HFD-50 large-scale commercial freeze dryer—is one of the most popular models in our commercial lineup. With a single-batch processing capacity of up to 75 kg, the HFD-50 is an ideal medium-to-large-scale solution for freeze-drying fruits, vegetables, snacks, pet food, and specialty food products.
Comprehensive Equipment Inspection
During the factory visit, the client conducted a detailed inspection of the HFD-50 freeze dryer and its key components. Our engineering team provided a comprehensive overview of the machine's structure, operating principles, control system, and production workflow. The HFD-50 features a high-performance refrigeration system capable of cooling the cold trap from +20°C to -55°C within just 30 minutes. The vacuum system can reduce the pressure in the drying chamber from standard atmospheric pressure to below 2 Pa within five minutes, achieving an ultimate vacuum of less than 0.1 Pa and maintaining it over the long term. The heating system can heat the shelves to a maximum of 60°C while ensuring the temperature difference between shelves remains within ±1°C.The table below shows a screenshot of partial data from the customer's machine inspection.

Freeze-drying tests using actual products
To further verify the equipment's performance, we conducted freeze-drying tests on three common fruits—strawberries, blueberries, and bananas—which are also the client's core products. After two days, we removed the freeze-dried fruit; as shown in the video, they retained their natural appearance with virtually no collapse or shrinkage. They featured a crisp, porous, and airy texture, along with vibrant colors and uniform dryness.
Over the coming days, this HFD-50 large-scale commercial freeze-dryer will undergo final assembly and testing before being shipped to the client.
